A bit about me.

I began my clinical path in New York City when I started my master’s in social work at New York University. I was gifted with lifelong inspiration from the academic and clinical community there. I landed in a role as program director for a grassroots community organization for seniors, where on any given day I would be in my office completing grant reports or outside dancing merengue with clients in their 90's. This work left an enduring impact on me as a clinician, witnessing firsthand the possibilities of human resilience and growth at any age.

Upon moving to California, I had the double transition of becoming a mom and shifting to the work of private practice. The vulnerabilities of parenthood and my own postpartum journey heightened my attunement both to myself and to my clients.
In addition to a variety of clinical and professional trainings, I have ongoing practices in mind-body-spirit wisdom. While I don't bring any of my personal practices into the therapy room, they do quietly inform how I listen, how I hold space for what is brought into the room, and how I trust the deeper intelligence of each of my clients.
My Therapy Style:
What does it mean to have a holistic psychotherapist? The difference is that I bring a compassionate exploration of your inner world with diligence to healing the past. This means together we'll explore the unconscious emotional patterns that have shaped your life, while also finding ways to help you become more habituated to your body and mind.

I listen and respond to your concerns or questions from a heart-centered place, and when it feels helpful, I reflect back insights so we gain greater and greater understanding of the root causes of your emotional distress. Psychodynamic therapy carries the idea that the more we gain understanding of our past, the more we feel psychologically free, and the more we can finally soften up our defenses in daily life.
This framework is brought into all forms of therapy - individual, couples, family, and perinatal.
